Our Guide to Broadbeach

April 28, 2021

Welcome to Broadbeach. The ultimate destination for your Gold Coast holiday.

Not only are there heaps of things to do right here in Broadbeach,  you’ll also be ideally located to check out the rest of the Gold Coast.

Shopping at Pacific Fair

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is a destination in it’s own right. The huge shopping mall boasts more than 400 retailers with everything from big chain department stores to high-end fashion boutiques. There’s several great dining precincts where you can choose from food courts or sit down restaurants and cafes. Relax with family friendly entertainment options including Event Cinemas, or just grab a coffee and chill out in the cool deck chairs and loungers by the sparkling outdoor fountains in The Resort area, while you enjoy the free WiFi.

Oh, and it’s all directly across the road from us here at Bel Air on Broadbeach!

Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant

Looking for a sinfully good night out? Dracula’s Cabaret Restaurant serves up devilishly good fun and a ‘to-dine-for’ three course meal. The main show is restricted to ages 15 and over, but if you have little ghouls don’t despair - Dracula’s also offer a special kids performance every Saturday at lunchtime called ‘Drax for Kids’.

From Bel Air on Broadbeach you just need to cross the Gold Coast Highway and you’re at Dracula’s Broadbeach. Easy!

Gold Coast Light Rail

The Gold Coast Light Rail stops directly in front of Bel Air on Broadbeach at the Broadbeach South station and travels along 19 stops all the way to Helensvale. Plan your trip at G:Link and see where the Gold Coast Light Rail can take you!

The Star Gold Coast (formerly known at Jupiters Casino)

The Star is a great option for a night out on the town with 9 dining options, 6 bars, 70 table games, 1400 machines and an impressive line-up of live shows and performances happening regularly.

The Star is one stop on the Gold Coast Light Rail, or a leisurely stroll down the Gold Coast Highway from Bel Air on Broadbeach.

See What's On at The Star Gold Coast.

Broadbeach Mall

There’s loads of great shopping, dining and entertainment options in the heart of the precinct – head to Oasis Shopping Centre, Niecon Plaza or stroll along Surf Parade.

The Beach
Enjoy the sun, surf and sea at Broadbeach! Gold Coast beaches are beautiful and lots of fun, but don’t forget to only swim between the flags where the lifeguards can see you. You can also stroll along the seemingly endless stretch of sand, play a game of beach volleyball, build sandcastles and snap those special photos you’ll cherish well after your holiday is over.

Kurrawa Pratten Park

Entertain the kids on holiday and let them burn off some energy at Kurrawa Broadbeach featuring one of the biggest and best kid’s playgrounds on the Coast! The fully-enclosed playground features 3 themed zones: sandcastle, undersea and the hill, and plenty of shady spots to sit and watch the kids play.

Kurrawa Surf Club

Located directly on the beach the Kurrawa Surf Club offers two dining options – the bistro which is upstairs and overlooks the beach, or the downstairs café where you can have a bite to eat or a coffee with your toes practically in the sand.

Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre - GCCEC

The GCCEC is home to a number of annual and one-off sporting events, concerts, exhibitions, expos, banquets and more. The state-of-the-art events centre is the largest of it’s kind in regional city in Australia and features a large main arena, 4 exhibition halls, and a series of meeting rooms that can hold from an intimate gathering for 10 up to 6,000 people! Perfect for you next event!

Find out what's happening at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Behind the GCCEC you'll also find a great little boardwalk that goes out over the canal and is perfect for a relaxed stroll.

Cascade Gardens

From Bel Air on Broadbeach walk north along the Gold Coast Highway (or take the Gold Coast Light Rail) to the sprawling Cascade Gardens.  There's plenty of space to throw a frisbee, kick a ball or relax with a picnic while the kids play in playground. At the front of the park you'll also find the Kokoda Memorial Walk where sections of the trail pass through tropical rainforest reminiscent of the jungles of the Kokoda Track.
