This natural oasis on the coastline offers walks along the rocky foreshore and through subtropical rainforest, as well as the opportunity to spot whales during the whale-watching season (May to November), and other marine life such as dolphins year round.
Burleigh Heads is where ancient volcanic columns meet the sea - and the result is spectacular! Walk through rainforest, eucalypt forest, pandanus groves, tussock grassland, coastal heath and mangroves.
Also keep an eye out for wildlife including Australian brush-turkey, seabirds and water dragons.
There are several different paths you can take around the headland including the Oceanview walk and the Rainforest circuit.
