Pacific Fair 670 million dollar make over has commenced
A major redevelopment of Pacific Fair has commenced today, in a facelift that will transform the iconic mall into the largest shopping centre in Queensland and fourth largest in Australia. Once complete Pacific Fair will be 150,000 square metres and have approximately 420 shops, restaurants and entertainment destinations.
The current construction taking place involves the car park outside the movie cinemas. By the end of January the north eastern mall that currently houses such stores as Giants Chemist, Australia Post and The Reject Shop along with outside retailers from Mitre 10 to Best & Less will also close their doors for re-development.
The rest of Pacific Fair will be operating as usual.
Once complete the new Pacific Fair will include:
A full line David Jones to complement the current Myer.
A new and relocated Target and new Big W in addition to the existing Kmart.
A new fresh food marketplace anchored by a new and relocated Coles and a brand new Woolworths.
1300 new parking spaces bring the total car park allowances to 6500.
Unrivalled dining and bar experience.
A world class indoor and outdoor leisure and entertainment precinct.
120 additional specialty stores.
